This wooden church in Suzdal is a reconstructed example of what the old wooden churches used to look like. Suzdal, with a population of only 12,000, has over 50 churches, some wooden, others made of stone, and some of them centuries old. Suzdal now has laws against modernization, so it is a village one can visit that gives the appearance of earlier times.
