Worm Bin Make & Take Workshop

Sunday, March 13 | 2:00 & 4:00 pm
The 2 pm Worm Bin Workshop is FULL. We are now offering a second workshop at 4 pm due to popular demand! Sign up using the registration link below.
Worms are great for creating compost for your garden while using up kitchen waste! It is also a fun way to compost with children! Join us and learn all the dos and don’ts of worm composting with Joanne Olszeski, the author of the 35th Anniversary Edition of Worms Eat My Garbage.
This class will start with a short presentation and then all guests will build their own Worm-A-Way composting bin, complete with a supply of live red wigglers. All materials, including the recycled plastic bin, live red wigglers (Eisenia fetida), instructions, newspaper and a signed copy of Worms Eat my Garbage will be included. (Entire kit retail value: $150).
Each family must purchase at least one worm bin to participate but family members are welcome to join in the fun and work together on a single worm bin. The educational materials might be a little too advanced for children 5 and under.
Cost: $75 per worm bin kit (Nonmember must also pay garden admission)
Register at Botanical Garden of the Ozarks for the 4 pm workshop
